On The Radio

I fell in love with the radio business at an early age listening to far away DJ's on my transister radio under my pillow at night when I was supposed to be asleep!

My biggest influence to get into the business was the #1 top forty station in Louisville, Kentucky, WAKY in the 1970's!  DJ's like Bill Bailey, Dude Walker, Johnny Randolf, Gary Burbank and Weird Beard!

I attended Western Kentucky University and majored in Mass Commnications.  While in school I started my DJ career working at stations in Scottsville, Glasgow and Bowling Green, Kentucky, as a DJ, Music Director and Program Director.  Upon graduation I continued my radio career in Texas and South Carolina.  Life then called with marriage, kids and a career transition into the world of healthcare management.  All along I kept my fingers in the radio business by doing part-time work for a middle Tennessee AM station and a nationally satellite fed program based in Nashville.

Now that I'm retired from the healthcare career, my dream of getting back into the radio business has come true by working with Hippie Radio!  It's a blast playing the music of my youth and early adulthood from the 60's, 70's and 80's!

My wife Marcia and I, live in the 'Boro close to all three grown children and three grands. Life is great!  I hope you will join me on Hippie Radio!
