MANNING
I was literally raised on the radio!
Growing up in the Washington, DC area, my dad was not only a “boss jock” at legendary stations like WPGC, he also owned an advertising agency in DC,
so, I was that kid you would hear on commercials lol…
My mother was a successful actress, still is…and was director of the local AFTRA office…
I just wanted to play and sing in my rock band in high school but then…college came along, and it was there, where I discovered the local college rock station in North Carolina and I guess as they say, the rest is history…
I went back home to work on the air in the DC market, as well as, Cleveland, Norfolk, Charlotte, NC among others…
I finally landed here in Nashville in 1993…my first job? Well, singing demos for some pretty cool songwriters at first…Then, doing afternoons on The Fox 104.5, when it was a cool, classic rock station! (it was actually there, that I met Hippies‘s own, JoeElvis, we were working for the same company!)
I’ve been in Music City ever since then, worked at the iconic WSM – AM, among other awesome stations…
So grateful to still be able to do what I love most, RADIO!
I’ve been super blessed to be able to voice everything from National TV award shows to numerous commercials/voiceovers…
I am married to the love of my life, a rockstar guitarist/producer/singer/songwriter…
I have four incredibly talented and awesome, grown kids & stepkids AND two pups, here in the Bellevue area, where I’ve lived since I first moved here…
Jeff and I sing as a duo around town once in a while, where I try and channel my inner Stevie Nicks!
I’m also on the board of Proverbs12:10 Animal Rescue… always trying to save the puppies!
Also, I am a diehard baseball and football fanatic…
Rooting for my DC teams, as well as, my husband’s Bay Area teams and of course, always cheering on the Titans!
I am so happy to be able to be part of the Hippie Radio family, as it is my go to station, and has been since they signed on! (I mean, we play Nashville’s Greatest Hits!)
Thanks for tuning in, see you on the radio!
