Even’s songwriting career spans many years and stylistic borders from the multi- platinum international hit, “When You’re In Love With A Beautiful Woman” by rock’s Dr Hook, to the three week running #1 Pop hit, “ I Love A Rainy Night” by long time partner and superstar, Eddie Rabbitt. He has accumulated an unprecedented 53 BMI Awards, which includes: 14 Pop Awards – 26 Country Awards – 1 Five Millionaire Award – 1 Four Millionaire Award – 1 Three Millionaire Awards – 4 Two Millionaire Awards – and 6 One Millionaire Awards.

The Grammy and NSAI Songwriter Hall of Fame nominated composer has written ASCAP’s Most Played Song of the Year, “Love Will Turn You Around” by Kenny Rogers and won BMI’s Robert J Burton Award, Song of the Year for “Suspicions” by Eddie Rabbitt, earning him the distinction as a BMI “Songwriter of the Century”.

As a record Producer, Even has had #1 successes with Eddie Rabbitt as well as numerous chart records and albums with artists, Engelbert Humperdinck (Epic), Hillary Kanter (RCA), Stella Parton (Elektra/ Asylum) and Wood Newton (Elektra/Asylum).

Even has contributed to the Nashville music scene by designing and building Emerald Sound Studios, Music Rowʼs premier award-winning recording studio, with partner/writer/producer, David Malloy.” As co-owner of DebDave Music Publishing with David and legendary mentor/engineer/ producer, Jim Malloy, they helped develop such successful writers as Paul Overstreet, Thom Schuyler, Hillary Kanter, Spady Brannan, Dan Tyler and Wood Newton, among others.” Some of the hit songs published and created by these songwriters at DebDave Music were: “Sixteenth Avenue”” Thom Schuyler (Lacy J. After a fifteen year run with cowriter, Eddie Rabbitt, the partners decided to sell their publishing companies to Mary Tyler Moore/MTM, where over 900 of Evenʼs songs stayed until purchased by EMI Music Publishing, where the award-laden catalogs now live. Even then formed ESP Music, which has blossomed into another successful publishing firm, containing such copyrights as: “Round & Round” (Kenny Chesney),“Lovinʼ Only Me” (Ricky Skaggs), “Black Coffee” (Lacy J. Dalton), “No Matter How High” (The Oak Ridge Boys), “Small Stuff” (Alabama), “A Great Disguise” (Martina McBride), “Carry On” (Tim McGraw)and over 600 other songs written by himself or cowritten with such stellar writers as: Shel Silverstein, Hillary Kanter, Paul Overstreet, Scotty Emerick, Paul Davis, Casey Beathard, Marty Dodson, Richie McDonald, Kenny Rogers, Greg Barnhill, Mark Collie, Richard Adrissi, Paul Williams, Steve Cropper and Lamont Dozier.
